Public-health planning · documents with defined inputs
Public-health planning with clear boundaries for sensitive information.
Organize source material, planning priorities, and review decisions into a coherent set of working documents. Agree the permitted inputs before work begins, surface unanswered questions, and bring drafts to the appropriate reviewers.
Define the data boundary before work begins.
We agree which source material may be used, which information must be excluded, and who reviews the resulting documents. This planning workflow uses approved organizational material rather than patient records. Inputs must exclude protected health information (PHI). Personally identifiable information (PII) is limited to what is necessary and explicitly approved for the agreed work.
Illustrative inputs
Used in this workflow
- Approved aggregate reports
- Policies and procedures
- Existing plans and planning priorities
- Agreements and reporting requirements
Excluded from this workflow
- Patient records
- Identifiable intake or case records
- Any material the organization has not approved for use
The workflow
- Define the permitted inputs. Before work begins, we write down which source material may be used and which may not, who may clear exceptions, and where the hard stops are.
- Gather and validate the record. The organization's approved documents are collected, checked for gaps and contradictions, and sized; each open point becomes a question for a reviewer, with a recommendation.
- Produce drafts that pause at decisions. Structural questions go to the reviewer before the text depends on them; the draft is regenerated with the answers built in.
- Check, then review one document at a time. Each document is checked against its specification, then approved or returned by the reviewer on a private page; every decision is recorded with its reason.
An illustrative planning table
A made-up excerpt of the kind of working table a plan is built from. The rows are invented; the columns are the ones we use.
| Priority | Source material | Open question | Reviewer | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Expand after-hours access | Approved service statistics; intake logs excluded | Which sites are in scope for year one? | Program lead | Question sent |
| Formalize partner referrals | Existing agreements; partner list | Does the draft agreement need legal review first? | Program lead; counsel | Draft paused |
| Annual reporting cadence | Prior reports; reporting requirements | None | Program lead | Draft ready for review |
Illustrative only. Names, priorities, and statuses are invented to show the shape of the work.
